A magical process:

  • It’s a magical process painting - making artwork inspires us and empowers us.

  • The story of Blind Create is an artwork in progress, anyone interested can now be part of.

This exciting journey.

  • Anything is possible, and I have high hopes for Blind Create. I believe I can also reach many with different accessible needs.

  • Blind Create plans to reflect public interest and comments, technological advancements and growing understanding of social enterprise and reaching the community. I am determined to make this succeed in such a difficult time with the Covid -19 pandemic.

  • It was while working with veterans for 7 years who were blind or had partial sight, that I devised a range of art techniques that were very successful and used to achieve good effects, which can be used in the art sessions.

What can be learnt?

  1. The principals of Art & Design such as Balance, Emphasis, Proportion, Unity, Variety, Rhythm.

  2. Elements in art: Tone, Shape, Form, Space, Texture, Pattern.

  3. Composition and the way different Elements (as above) are arranged in a picture.

  4. Colour theory/ Colour Wheel - understanding about colour: primary, secondary and tertiary colour and which colours are opposite one another. Did you know that the colours that are opposite are called complimentary colours?

  5. Golden Ratio or Golden Section - in Art History the mathematical way in which an art work can achieve beauty, balance and harmony has been used for centuries by many of the Great Masters of Art & Architecture, such as:

    Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, Seurat, Dali and many others.

  • Through this specialist tuition, I can describe what you're learning as you painting.
