Capability Scotland.

Special Ice-cream project over 2 sessions.

5 service users with 1-1 staff to assist.

Those in session 1 were Aesha, Ozair, Craig, Vikki and Jemma & 5 support staff.

Those in session 2 were Graham, James, Muriel, Molly and Helen & 5 support staff.

We used various materials, assortments of colours and glue to put together a collage on 1 of 3 different templates -

Ice cream, Beach Ball and Beach Parasol.

‘Capability Scotland delivers exemplary care, support, and education for disabled children and adults across Scotland.’

The choice of theme is ‘ice cream’ but there is the option of a beach ball and beach parasol as well. We did a collage with various materials and some colouring in with pens and perhaps paint too.

The sessions were 40 mins long on Tuesday 2 July and Wednesday 3 July.

By the end it will look good enough to eat!

Step 3:

Now choose the pieces you’d like for the ice cream and glue them on, some can overlap and some can be in their own space.

Also use colour pen or pencil to make some colour areas or even paint if you’d like.

Finish with glitter.

YouTube video showing how to put this together

Here’s how we did this step by step:

Step 1:

Print out the ice cream template and 2 pieces of orange or yellow paper/card for the background. Stick these down with PVA or pritt-stick glue.

Step 2:

Place the pieces of collage on the background all around the ice cream cone ready to choose what you’d like to put onto your ice cream.

Then place glue over the cream and in the spaces around.
