Bonfire and Fireworks

Neil made this fantastic bonfire using card, tissue paper and crayon.

The red and yellow tissue paper swirls into the air like a raging fire.

He also worked on the fireworks at the back of the piece with colour paper, crayons and blue, white and purple feathers showing the swirling and fizzing fireworks reach and sizzle in the air.

Remember remember the 5th of November!

The steps taken below to make the project in 1 session.

Step 1 - draw a line around a plate.

Step 2 - cut around the line.

Step 3 - draw a round line around the edge.

Step 4 - fold the black paper or card.

Step 5 - cut outwards 5 times to the line.

Step 6 - paste cut round shape to a black base.

Step 7 - Take 2 sheets of red or yellow card and fold twice then cut several times on the long side

Step 8 - Paste the bonfire to the base. Scrunch tissue, paper or modroc up and thicken the base.

Step 9 - Paint the top and side with acrylic and add feathers for fire.

Paint the fireworks too, and add feathers to the upright black card.
