St.Ives harbour scene.

The steps to make this project:

Step 1:

Pencil drawing using basic shapes for the buildings and keeping the building landscape to the middle third of the image.

Step 2:

Add watercolour - sky, sea and buildings, leaving some buildings white.

Add pen for outlines.

Step 3:

Use watercolour for buildings. sea and sky.

Step 4:

Use oil pastel for contrast and features on buildings.

Using pencil and pen drawing, watercolour and acrylic with oil pastel.

This project is tailor made to Penny who has severe visual impairment, and we are working through this composition using contrasting shapes and colours where possible for better recognition of the image.

Please see the stages of progress as we work through this project. Penny is a new client, who has had 4 years of previous online art classes but is now needing my specialist guidance.
