Artwork made by Artists part of Pamis online wellbeing Art group.
Every Monday from 11-12am.
We are creating a Farmyard scene in Autumn using acrylic paint, collage and natural resources such as leaves and ferns.
I guide the group through each step of making the picture.

Rachel’s fantastic Farmyard scene (in progress) after the 1st session of this project.
Rachel used sponge for the green grass and a brush for dabbing on yellow for the yard.
Rachel used leaves and printing techniques to create the tree foliage and modroc to make the texture for the tree trunk. She ten used brush to make the fence with dark brown to give contrast to her artwork.
Rachel used the leaf printing to build up the background using red and black as contrasting colours to the green grass.

I have started working with the charity PAMIS (promoting a more inclusive society) online art group. This group has been together for sometime now on Mondays so I am delighted to be tutoring the group now for a while.
On Monday last week I met the group of young artists online and their helpers through Pamis Zoom link and we did a short art activity making a 2D butterfly using resources they have at hand. The butterfly above is by Artist- Helen Johnstone.
On Monday 5th September they started a new project about an Autumn scene on a farmyard, that’ll include a scarecrow, tractor and farm animals using a variety of resources.
There could also be opportunities for further online art sessions and a fantastic project that would combine Art, Music and Story telling organised through Pamis.
This group of talented artists came together during the pandemic and have continued to grow and develop their talents. They all have profound and multiple learning disabilities and have performed at the Edinburgh International Book Festival this year and last, where they demonstrated not only their artistic talents but their performance skills too.
We worked on the barn and a tractor. Some worked on a horse. Paint, and collage were used to make the scene interesting.
